Chaos Before the Shift: The Transformational Era Is Still Unfolding

January is now in the rear-view mirror. I thought this would be a good time to write and address the level of chaos we have all been witnessing in our country, the world, and for some, right in their very own lives.

Last year I wrote about the exciting advances in humanity that would be heralded in by our four outermost planets, all changing signs at practically the same time, all moving into the dynamic, vibrant, visionary, and transformational fire and air signs.

If you have been wondering what happened to those advances in the human condition, you have lots of company.  Instead, we seem to be witnessing aggravated turmoil, certainly in our country, but also in many places throughout the world.

I am still tossing my hat in the ring for the Transformational Era to begin, but perhaps not for a few more months. But hopefully by May, if not before, signs should appear of its momentum.  Pluto has fully entered the visionary sign of Aquarius for all of 2025, but all of Pluto’s teammates, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, retrograded back into the more slow- to- proceed elements of water and earth. Pluto got left holding the bag and has had to usher in the era of innovation and advancement all by himself. Pluto is known for stirring the pot when first entering its new signs, which just to remind you, only happens every 16-20 years.  Without the sustained support from less yang planets, all of whom retrograded back into their old signs, Pluto has been left alone to create change.  Thus Pluto became very Plutonian and has been creating evolution through sowing chaos and disruption.

The first planet to finally join Pluto and permanently enter its new Fire sign is Neptune. This just happened last month on January 26th.  Neptune is our spiritual focused planet and can insert the sense of right and wrong into the troublesome activities initiated by leaders of countries.  Through the presence of Neptune people become more affected by and sensitive to wrongdoings by leaders and can be moved to rise up and speak out because of that increased sensitivity and sense of connectedness to others who are being unfairly mistreated. The sign Neptune has entered is Aries, very ready to help shift moral fortitude toward a more encompassing reach. It should help decrease the political, cultural, and prejudicial gulfs between people.

Saturn will be the next planet to securely enter its new sign. Saturn will join Neptune in Aries in just a few days. Saturn definitely prefers stability over chaos.  It honors boundaries, including those existing between countries. Its presence in Aries can contribute to new treaties being signed by countries at risk from greedy external presences.  Saturn in Aries will encourage the establishment of new ground rules for the interactions between countries and their alliances, which have needed updating for some time.

The final planet of the Awesome Foursome to finally return to its new sign is Uranus, which will enter Gemini at the end of April. Uranus is associated with change, especially regarding any social structure which has gotten stagnant or forgotten about its higher purpose.  Uranus cares about the evolution of the human race towards a higher consciousness and moves us towards justness in the way we treat each other.  Equality and fairness are words associated with Uranus.  In the sign of Gemini, it will surely focus on equality in education.  Uranus is associated with the sciences; Scientific innovations which better our lives will emerge at an even faster pace than we have seen.  As Uranus moves through Gemini over its 7-year period, we should witness a movement towards acceptance of differences that previously have pitted people against each other.

On a more individual note, Pluto is now traveling through the 3rd, 4th, and 5th, degrees of Aquarius. Likely, those of you who have a planetary presence in your Birth Chart in those degrees, will be feeling Pluto’s strong push to move forward in your life, towards your bigger goals.  But for some of you, depending on the nature of the angle Pluto is making to your chart, you may have had a curve ball to deal with first, usually brought on by surprises in the behavior of others, and not always desirable ones.  Pluto’s total goal is to move us along in our own transformation, especially in the arena of growing emotional intelligence, but its tactics can be heavy handed.  Just know if there are some unpleasant surprises or resistances to your moving forward, it is time limited. Pluto’s ultimate goal is to help guide you towards the outcome that serves you the very best.  Keep your focus on what is important to you, and you will make it through the challenging time, even smarter, wiser, than you thought possible.

Neptune and Saturn and Uranus will be entering those very same degrees, but in the signs of Aries and Gemini respectively.  Check your Birth Chart to see what planetary presence you have in the early degrees of its sign.  The attributes of that planet will give you a sense of the arena of your life that is up for change and growth.  If your Sun, Moon, or Rising sign are in those early degrees of their signs, you will be receiving quite the flow of energy to take a serious look at your life, to decide what brings you happiness, and what may need some adjustments.  It is a strong time for all of us, a quickening of our life force, with our passions and focus being stirred towards what we deem important
