Mars Meets Uranus - the Aftermath
I feel compelled to write now that we are on the downhill side of the Mars/Uranus conjunction. Once every two years these two highly energetic planets get to together in our sky and can create mayhem. Mars, as you likely know, is associated with fire, wars, the emotion of anger, but on the good side, it can make things happen and quickly break up roadblocks. The extreme heat in the East over the 4th of July holiday, and the very big and scary acceleration of fire activity out West all took place while Mars and Uranus were reaching their peak of togetherness. Even in sweet Sedona, our nearby fire grew rapidly due to high winds and heat. All is well, though, and progress is being made, barring some unexpected switch in the winds.
The Uranus part of this intense duo is associated with quick change, with lightning, with a desire to break up old dysfunctional patterns, clear away obstacles - yet with such speed it can be unsettling and quite demanding of our attention.
This dynamic linking of Mars and Uranus took place in Gemini, which can make our tongues a little loose. Please excuse the example, but it perfectly demonstrates the inconsistencies that can occur in communication, with our President calling the leaders of Iran “smart and easy to work with” one day, then “scum” the next day. It has been a time when we have had to stay steady and think before speaking.
We are now in the aftermath of this biannual event, with Mars moving ahead in Gemini and increasing its distance from Uranus every day. This is a good time to reflect on any emergencies you have had to address. When decisive actions need to take place quickly, we can sometimes overreact and over respond to the situation. Changes we made may need some retooling. Words said may need some smoothing. Decisions we made may require some adjustments. This is an excellent time to revisit any unwanted surprise event that happened in late June through July 56h, to make sure you are pleased with your corrective actions. The opportunity always exist to evaluate and right the ship, to create the very best outcome!
On the other hand, when Uranus is involved, even when the emergency appears quite disastrous, the outcome, maybe days or weeks later, can be seen as an improvement and many times, as a blessing. In my years of hearing stories from clients when they have had a strong Uranus influence, they have had surprises, some seemingly unwanted, but upon looking back, have reported great appreciation for the shift in their lives.
Those of you born in early Gemini are having Uranus hover over your Sun right now – a strong and usually a once in a lifetime event. You can suddenly need, want, or be asked to change jobs; your place of residence can change; your friendships can change. During this phase, Uranus wants you to freshen up your life, get out the doldrums, and be creative with how you live. The last two weeks might have especially pivotal, given Mars was right there with Uranus, spurring on the desire for change, or circumstances that came forward to force the change.
